Aksel ønsker helst å stå alpint alle dager her, men her gjelder det å inngå kompromiss.

Her sitter en stk. sliten jente (to slitne jenter?

:-) Håper kvelden hos dere er like fine! ;-)

Hilton Innsbruck hotel - Entrance

Two months ago, we booked ourselves a flight to Austria and a couple of nights at Hilton Innsbruck. Little did we know about the positive pregnancy-test only a week after.. *Hehe!* As I told before, Aksel and I just recently opened our eyes for alpine skiing. We decided that one destination on our bucketlist would without no doubt be going off to the alps of Europe! And so, tomorrow, we´re off to Innsbruck with the original plan of having an active vacation containing cross country skiing and alpine skiing for one time´s sake. Aksel did some reserach, and I still will be able to choose between a variety of ski trails, depending on my level (which drastically sunk back to basics due to my condition *hehe*!). So we´re still taking the complete gear with us and we look forward to a little time away together no matter how the outcome of the activity- levels outdoor! :-)

Below are some photos of what´s waiting for us, and there´s no questions about it, all of my camera gear will of course be with us too!

Just one hour before our Easter vacation, I had a small session of hangman on the whiteboard. The kids guessed all kinds of letters, but I was very surprised they lasted ´till the very end- they didn´t guessed it before we only missed the letter “M”! Almost the whole class jumped off their chair and ran straight towards me, wanting to give warm hugs along with their congratulations :-) They are so sweet! One even asked me: “When did you get pregnant? Yesterday?!” And one in Aksel´s class even wondered if I, the mother of the child, was aware of the whole fact that I was pregnant, did I know I was becoming a mom?! *Hehehe!* Aren´t they charming?

IMG_2076-1

Another funny thing I have to mention, is that a boy asked me if I knew how I´d get the child out of my stomach. I sensed there could be a creative explanation behind this particular question, so I asked him to enlighten me. Below´s the answer, just in case anyone was unsure *hehe*.

The very same child said that he´d once seen on television about a woman that also was pregnant, so she had too much to do at home. Another woman kind of rescued her by helping out at home, and so the lesson was that I could call a number, starting with 5-5-5 (and then he couldn´t remember the rest). Then this very woman could come to my rescue as well, if ever I would feel in need of it! ;-D Never underestimate what knowledge children has..! At least, this is what yet another boy said this to me when he explained to a fellow student that when a woman is pregnant, she is pregnant not only for a couple of weeks, but actually for nine months!! And he also added that he had much more knowledge about pretty much everything if ever I had any questions for him.. ;-)!!

IMG_2078

Besides that, I had a boy proclaiming that it is a good thing women have to go through the whole giving birth- thing, because if boys were to do so, it would be to much pain to handle. Perhaps there´s something to that statement? *Hehe!*

I´ve also gotten a whole bunch of advices on what name to give our child, and I´m actually not joking when I say I think it´s the sweetest thing! Tough the choice completely rest on Aksel and my own´s shoulder, and our only.. ;-)

IMG_2079 IMG_2080

Working in a school gives me a number of funny, smart, charming quotes along with some of the sweetest souls I´ve met so far in my life, and can you believe, in only a couple of months, Aksel and I will have our own little mini-copy of us? :-) ♥ :-)

And so our little secret is finally out! We´re very pleased to announce that hopefully, in a couple of months, we´re extending the family with another baby (only this time, our very first two- legged one!) ♥ Exciting, happy, overwhelmed and what not, it´s hard to describe in one word how we feel, but one thing is for sure. This feels so right! Who knew 10 years ago, that I had met the one who was going to be the father of my child! I mean, it´s still surreal, we´re actually having a child!! It feels good to share the good news and as you can understand, this is by far the biggest thing in my life! No other celebrations, anniversaries, our wedding, the engagement- nothing comes close to this! But I have to admit, keeping our cards -this secret- a little close to our chests for quite some time, has also felt beyond magical. A little secret made by Aksel and I.. A little secret that only the two of us knew about; it gives me butterflies in my stomach only thinking about it :-)

Most aspects about being pregnant are really..indescribable. It´s like a completely whole new world that has co-existed along with my kind of reality, but to me, still been out in the periphery. Now I´m suddenly part of this too.. No matter how I try to explain it, no matter my choice of words, I´ve come to the point where I mean that to really understand it, you have to experience it yourself. I´ll not lie and tell that the past weeks haven´t been different. I´ve without any doubt felt that something´s going on, changes are happening and these things also called hormones have had its share of playingtime within me. But it all will be worth it.

These past months, Aksel and I can suddenly look at each other, smile and then reach for each other hands. And without any words, you just know that we´re both thinking of the little seed that has been planted. Hoping and praying that all is well, and feeling how it enriches our lives without even to yet have met him/her.. How weird, but most of all how amazingly wonderful. Yesterday, we heard the heartbeats for the first time, and guys.. It´s such a clichè, but I´m joining the club by saying that it feels like life suddenly got a whole new meaning about it ♥

Today we´re finishing the last meal of roasted ham. Goodness, the taste you guys! So good, and not to mention it secured us dinner for what, three days? And for gym lovers out there, don´t forget how much this sweet thing contain of proteins! Yes, in other words, what a good start to the week. Except for the fact that I woke up completely by myself just a few minutes passed four this morning, I´ve all in all had a great Monday otherwize! I haven´t felt this okay in quite a few weeks, so this is such a nice surprise. I mean, is it just me, or have you noticed my recent blog updates? What used to be one month space in between each is now reduced to one day. Crazy! I´m clutching to this good feeling, this positive energy and really hope it´ll continue this way forward. :-) Especially when thinking about I´m only one week away from taking off to Austria for our Easter holiday. I´ll hopefully have an eventful week abroad full of new food experiences and outdoor activities. At least that´s what I aim for, and nothing less! The one thing I´m not looking forward to though, is leaving my dearest Lola behind. But she´ll be safe and sound with my brother in the capital city- and deep in my heart, I do know she loves spending time with him. Besides, she´ll have a little vacay of her own, being in the big city perhaps meeting a whole new bunch of other dog friends! :-) A total win-win situation for both the four-legged one and her owners, really! ;-)

I am already up, up, even a while before the clock struck six.. Oh, how typical on a day off. Me, whose not even that type of person who ever gets enough of sleeping..! Oh, well. On the bright side, an early start to the day gives my Sunday more time for me to enjoy? :-) Nowadays there´s no “green” eating, or how should I say it.. To put it this way, I eat whatever I want. A french start, combining a chocolate croissant with sparkling lemonade is not that bad at all. Now, those of you who knows me well are quite aware that I´m not that fond of sparkling water, but using this kind of water mixed with juice (we use Zeroh!) is heaven! With this kind of nourishment beside me while going through this coming week´s planning: I think it´s safe to proclaim that my Sunday morning -though by myself since the husband is still asleep- is much better than anticipated (about two hours ago..) ;-) I´m also aiming for a small energy boost which can help me get to the gym and execute a second training session this week, that would be absolute bliss! What a change that´d be to my recent almost total absence from the training center… I´m crossing fingers and toes!

I haven´t had either the urge, nor the energy to take any photos for any blog update, sadly enough, but somehow today has been different. Although my morning didn´t quite start as I´d hoped or planned for, I can reduce a long story and just end it by saying that it was all settled with flowers.. ;-) You know girls and flowers, the two of them fit together like hand in a glove! In my opinion, flowers can do wonders. Either if you´re lacking of words, or even when you´ve formulated the most beautiful sentences,;combining them with a gift of flowers would be like the cherry on top of the cake. How can it ever go wrong with flowers??.. Well, here I go, falling off track already so soon, so I´ll jump right in again :p

I just wanted to give a little recommendation. I have for a long time looked after a hollow book, but the only thing that´s beenpreventing me from buying one, has been the cover of the book. Either the colour combination just don´t fit my personal taste or there´s something off about the pattern.. I´ve drooled over a very large book like these at Kremmerhuset, yet I´ve obviously not “drooled” enough over it as I find myself passing it time and time again.. And then today, I stumbled upon just a small size at Søstrene Grene and I just had to have it at once. The little thing was pretty cheap as well, so I wouldn´t be worried about it emptying your pockets exactly; but then again, is there anything at all at that pretty shop that would do that? :-)

I suppose your biggest secrets are more likely to remain as secrets if you just keep them within you, but then there´s the material things which are of some importance (enough to making sure it is safely stored). A product like this would fit your interior surroundings and in that way, discreetly taking care of your smaller belongings :-) For bigger and more important objects, of course the better solution must be to rather use a coded or locked safe, though.

Together with this hollow book, I´ve also bought myself four round card boxes as a new DIY- project. I can´t wait to get started! Though, I think I´ve used my share of energy for today *hehe*. It´ll have to wait for now, but I promise I´ll let you know when I´m finished with them :-)

I wish you a lovely Saturday, may it blossom throughout the rest of the day. A warm weekend hug to each and every one of you sweethearts out there! ♥

I know, I know, it´s been ages since our last chit- chat. I don´t have much news to share, other than my energy swinging from down low to up high. The weekdays have recently been damanding and work has felt a notch more exhausting than usual. But my shoulderes have lowered once again and with a whole day to nothing but me, myself and my little family, I´ve restored a few levels of energy boost- for one time sake. I´ve even taken use of my camera again, so I´m really hoping this just isn´t a temporary high wave before the down fall- but we´ll see.

Other to something more cheering. Two days ago we sold our “old” car, the 20 year old Mercedes. I´m one of those who hangs on to materialistic things because of the sentimental value, and that car has been with me since I graduated college (videregående skole?). To make a long story short, it hasn´t been easy to wave goodbye, but we had actually been thinking about renewing our car since December 2014…! So this year, Aksel set his mind, this was it, it was time to let go. The same day as the contract was signed, we actually signed our own contrac, buying ourselves the (new) car of our dream. Or at least to Aksel ;-) He´s ecstatic about it! Though our old car was of the colour green, this car is greener in a way as it is a hybrid (Mitsubishi outlander) :-)

Driving this beauty though.. It will take a little bit of getting used to, at least for me who can be supersensitive about certain things. The smell of a new car combined with the new feeling of driving something that goes on an electric current has without no doubt made me carsick. . . We drove to Sweden today, just by the border for a longer test drive while buying ourselves some longed, Swedish grocery products. I finally decided to sit on the driver´s seat and I am sincerely astonished by today´s modern technology. I mean, at one point, my only purpose was to steer the weel, otherwise the adaptive cruise control managed my whole driving! To be honest, my one and only criticism so far, has to be the electric way of adjusting the driver´s seat back and forth. I like to have more than one (electric) option, because with my height, what am I suppose to do if ever that electric thing stop working for some reason? How on earth will I manage to sit while controling the pedals (in a responsible way) on the way to a car workshop?? .. And yes, another thing, I actually like my cars a tad shorter, though I never chooses to parallel park, but just in case I do chose to parallel park..*hehe!* On the other hand, Aksel says we have to think ahead and the practical use of it all, so in a way, yes indeed, this feels like our car for another small lifetime ahead ♥
